My Skincare Essentials

Korres Wild Rose + Vitamin C Sleeping Facial
First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream
Kiehl's Creamy Eye Treatment

Growing up, I battled both acne and eczema. To fight my acne, I tried almost all the products that my drug stores had to offer. The harsh chemicals, however, made my eczema skin even drier and more sensitive. It was not until I started reading about fragrance, paraben free products that I realized what I was doing wrong. Since then, I have stuck to a skincare routine that consists mostly of all-natural products.

After years trial-and-error, I have established a few stables that truly make a difference to my skin, one of them being First Aid Beauty's Ultra Repair Cream. FAB's Ultra Repair Cream saved my sensitive, dry skin from the winter cold. Its rich, but non-greasy, formula does a perfect job of hydrating my skin without clogging my pores. It has a hint of eucalyptus oil, which is both refreshing and relaxing at the same time. In addition, FAB Ultra Repair Cream is dermatologist recommended and allergy-tested. I am almost done with my third jar and cannot wait to get my fourth. My commitment to this product says a lot, as my skin is very picky and I am always looking for new products to try.

My other beloved product is the Clarisonic Mia. I sincerely regret not getting it sooner! Within the first month of using it, my skin showed dramatic improvement in terms of texture and clarity. I never realized how much makeup residues I go to sleep with until I started using the Clarisonic! No wonder I was fighting a losing battle to my acnes. I know everyone hesitates due to the jarring price (myself included), but trust me, it is a worthy investment for your skin. Now I use my Clarisonic religiously with my Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser (not pictured), which is another affordable, fragrance-free, non-comedogenic product that I recommend.

My latest "it" product would be Korres' Wild Rose + Vitamin C Sleeping Facial. Anyone who knows me knows that I love the scent of rose. I would buy everything rose-related, including rose macarons, rose milk tea, and rose candles. So this Korres product just makes sense. Every night, I look forward to applying this product. I not only love falling asleep to the light, heavenly rose scent, but I also love waking up and finding my skin properly hydrated and baby soft. This product has given me the dewy, soft skin that I have not had since my earlier experiments with harsh drug store products.

Lastly, I hoard eye products due to my severe under eye circles. My top two eye products are Kiehl's Creamy Eye Treatment and Bliss Triple Oxygen Eye Gel (not pictured). They each do something slightly different for my eyes, so I usually rotate them, depending on the condition of under eye circles. Kiehl's special ingredient, avocado oil, does wonders on reducing and preventing fine lines around the eyes, which dry skin tends to develop prematurely. Bliss serves as an immediate relief for puffiness. It is an excellent product to have for night owls.

I hope this post provides helpful guides for those seeking to improve their skincare routines. It took me a long time (and a lot of money) to find the right products, but they are well-worth it at the end. Leave a comment if you have further questions or additional suggestions. I would love to hear what are your "it" and "go-to" products!

  2. Hey would you mind sharing which blog platform you're using? I'm looking to start my
own blog soon but I'm having a hard time choosing between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution and Drupal. The reason I ask is because your layout seems different then most blogs and I'm looking for something unique.
P.S My apologies for being off-topic but I had to ask!
