I received the greatest news on Tuesday: an acceptance to a California medical school. When the message popped up on my iPhone, I had to read it three times before the news sank in. I then proceeded to hug everyone at my work, while uttering incoherent sentences and smiling like an idiot.
Applying to medical schools in California is hard. With rejections left and right from the UCs, I became very pessimistic about my chances of staying in California. Since receiving my first acceptance in November, I have been mentally preparing myself for the big move to the East Coast. While I am grateful for the opportunity to live somewhere outside of California, I just love California too much to leave (I mean, there are very few states in which you can wear a muscle tank in February and be okay, right?).
In celebration of my chance to stay in my beloved state, I wore my California Republic muscle tank. I paired the tank with acid wash jeans and spiked necklace to create a "soft-grunge" look. I still need to get those jeans tailored, but I really liked how the scrunches set on top of my booties. They made the overall look more effortless and casual. To add some color, I used Make Up For Ever's Rouge Artist Intense in #45.
Wishing you all a wonderful weekend. :)
